Windows 10: Laptop getting shutting down ,"The system was shut down due to a critical thermal event"

Hello,Last week, when I tried to turn on the laptop, it looped back to the bios and MSI logo back to back, and my fan was running so fast that it was so loud. After multiple restarts, it came back and was working normally, but I couldn't hear any fan running. Then, it started unexpectedly shutting down, even with just Chrome on.I searched this forum, and some people said to check the event logs. Then I found the issue that my laptop was shutting down due to heat. I've attached some screenshots of it. Can anyone let me know how to fix this issue?

System shut off randomly

Last night after exiting a game (Diablo 3) blue screen error popped up saying there was an issue, and system would restart. Upon splash screen of windows 8 computer would power off by itself.

Event Viewer shows this

Thermal shut down I assume and losing power... Thermal as in CPU got too hot, or could it be a failing power supply???

Need a little help diagnosing this problem, since the system now boots up just fine... Thanks in advance for any input!
