    Laptop Lenovo Y520 won't wake from sleep - INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR


    I have very odd problem - my laptop won't wake from sleep. It stays on black screen. If I wait long enough, I will see a BSOD with error "INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR" and crash dump will be created.


    I tried many solutions:
    1 Driver verifier - deleted some "unstable" drivers, but problem still here.

    2 Updating Windows - Windows went through many updates, major ones too: 1903 - 1909 - 20H2.

    3 Updating driver for many devices: videocard, chipset, storage controllers.

    4 Virus scan - none of them were found.

    5 Many others from Internet.


    I learnt how to use WinDbg, but did not found culprit as far as I can tell.

    Here is my specifications:


    Lenovo Legion Y520-15IKBN
    Processor Intel Core i5-7300HQ 4C, 2.5 / 3.5GHz, 6MB

    Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 4GB GDDR5 + Integrated Nvidia Optimus

    RAM 16 GB DDR4 2400 MHz

    Storage 1TB 5400rpm + 128GB SSD M.2 PCIe
    WLAN Intel AC9260


    I cannot find solution to my problem and I don't think reinstalling Windows may fix it.
    I think solution is hidden inside dump file, but I have no knowledge to find it. Please help me.


    P.S. "ACPI\VPC2004\0" is disabled by me, it is Lenovo Energy Management driver and it does not make any difference to my problem.

    Windows 10 random sleep after update KB4464218 on lenovo legion y520

    Hi,

    i have Lenovo sleep mode issue caused by windows update KB4464218. I have tried all the ways found in internet to change sleep timer, but nothing changed. I have several times uninstalled that update, but next time I want turn off my laptop, it is updating

    But my laptop only has 1 input jack.

    You need to talk to Lenovo as their own website and documentation contains conflicting information.
