Windows 10: Laptop Password Recovery

HiI recently ran a program on my computer to clean up cookies etc. I have an HP Envy 360 Microsoft 10. I have always used facial recognition to get into the laptop. After the cleanup the laptop says Hi, and the camera has 2 red lights flashing and does not take me into the system. I have not used my actual password since I put it in when I purchased the laptop and cannot for the life of me or my family remember it. We have tried everything. How can I recover it without wiping out the computer? I have several manuscripts on it along with some artwork that I hope we can recover.

hdd password recovery

howdy. if this isnt the right forum please move it.
a friend has a 3 year old hp or compaq tower. they called me to help. they are not able to get into the admin accound, because the password was changed. it was changed by them when a popup told them for security they should change thier password.
after it was changed they could no longer get into the admin account with the password they changed it to, and the computer started sending out emails to everyone on her address list with porn and viagara type adds.
i ran anti virus and we found 20 trogans, virus, ect. everything comes back clean now, but we still cant get into asdmin account to format drive.she doesnt have a vista system disc, just the recovery partition.
1.. is there a way to get the password?

2... if not can i install a new hdd and install from her recovery partition?

3...will i be able to install new hdd and install vist from my disc or is the mb set up to not alow that?

HD Recovery W/ Drive Password

Got a problem here, I'm trying to do some data recovery on an HP Laptop, some how the user's 7 year old screwed around with the laptop and setup a Hard Drive password. Does anyone know how to reset it?

I've tried the following so far:

Can't get into BIOS either some how there's no option for me to log in, the HD password seems to prompt first before anything.

External Enclosure's won't read it. Installing it as a secondary drive, it doesn't get detected either..

The only thing I can think of would be to plug in via the PCB board and try a reset there, or better yet a nice little tool that reset's it back to default.
