Windows 10: Laptop screen fails to turn on

Hi Everyone


I got a new SSD for my laptop and installed a fresh windows on it. Which is updated to the latest version. The problem I'm having is that laptop screen fails to turn on after the following events:

• the lid is closed
• display is turned of using any method
• laptop is put to sleep using any method

After a lot of troubleshooting I traced this fault to be in the Intel UHD Graphics 620 driver. When I delete that driver the issue is resolved but with the following cons:

• brightness can't be adjusted
• no sleep option at all and can not be restored until the newer driver is installed

DELETING AND REINSTALLING/UPDATING THE DRIVER TO THE LATEST VERSION DOES NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM


This event get recorded in the driver details menu whenever the screen does not turn on

Maybe I need a specific version for my Inter UHD Graphics 620. My current version is 27.20.100.9126

But I can't seem to find the perfect version.

My BIOS version and all other drivers are up to date.

This has been messing up my brain for a month now. I would appreciate if anyone could help

Laptop with broken screen How much?

I would like suggestions and look in local stores. I dont wanna buy a laptop from someone online. Sorry. But could be a good idea if you asked him about the performance on older games. Gonna make a list ofall laptops people suggest me.

Remove the screen for space purpose here its small desk and if the screen is opened it will hide my 22 inches lcd

 

Looking for help with laptop screen

It's quite easy to replace a screen, try to find a disassembly guide for the specific model of laptop so you have a step by step indication of where to take screws out and what clips to unclip. There might be some youtube videos as well. Always make sure the replacement screen is compatible as there can be different connectors.

 

Toshiba Laptop Black Screen

I have a Toshiba Laptop, Was reinstalling windows 7 on it last night left it doing the updates then shut it down. Turned it on this this afternoon only to find the laptop screen is Black and also there is a burning smell coming from the Fan.

I connected the Laptop to a external monitor that is fine, Can go into bios, Windows boots up fine Etc.
Just took apart the laptop earlier to check all the cables where in correctly, Checked the motherboard over for any damage, burnt bits but but found nothing. Just put it back together now but im still getting this burning smell and i still cant use the laptop screen only a external screen.

I Tried Pressing FN+F5 to switch to the laptop screen, But still black screen. Any Suggestions please ?
