  1. Laptop screen not turning off.

For some reason, the laptop that I had Windows 8.1 installed in last will not turn off after five or so minutes, like I had set it. This can be a huge drawback, because the laptop might be running on battery power and having the screen constantly on drains it.

This usually happens after Alarms and Clock has set off an alarm, or right while I'm trying to do something with my laptop not synchronizing my files, especially with Homegroup not letting me share my files with "view and edit" permissions.

I tried to set a time-out setting of one minute. Apparently it works, but I also have a slideshow thing that's stalled as if the machine was still running on batteries.

Let me read off the system spec that was recorded on the Eight Forums:
    • Computer Type: Laptop
    • System Manufacturer/Model No.: Dell Inspiron 15-3520
