Windows 10: Laptop Shuts down due to CPU Temeprature rise

Dear all,

recently i have upgraded my laptop (Acer Aspire 5740G) with a Kingston A400 480GB SSD.

I have installed Windows 10 Proffesional version 1803 with all MS updates.

I have installed the following Game Dishonored GOTY and when i start the game after a while my CPU temprature rises to 90+ Degrees Celcious and after a while the Laptop shuts down.

I have installed the free tool "RealTemp" as i understood that it somehow was a temeprature issue.

The same problem occurs with every game that i install even ones not being so resource demanding.

I have done the following:

1) Opened the laptop and completely cleaned the Motherboard from any dust.

2) I have installed new thermal abduction paste.

3) I have cleaned thoroughly the funs under the laptop which reside in the Laptops base.

I have noticed that when the Temperature is very hot (90+ Degrees Celcius) just a few moments before the laptop automatically shuts down in the Task Manager the resources that are consumed are NOT by far hight (CPU 8% Memory 35% Disk 10%).

I can not undestand why this is happening.

The SSD seems to work fine and with very good speeds.

I am attaching the event viewer information of the shut down issue.

Any help would be much appreciated.

CPU temperature

Partially depends on the processor but 45-50C is normal for all. Most modern CPUs shut themselves off if in case the temperature rise above normal and can damage CPU
