Windows 10: Laptop shuts down when i have it set to 'do nothing'

i have my laptop set to 'do nothing' when i close the lid. both on battery and when it is plugged in. However, it either goes to sleep or hibernates EVERY time i close the lid. AND IT WILL NOT COME BACK ON. AT ALL. I have tried every suggested 'fix' that i have found in the 'community'. NOTHING works.

the 'troubleshoot option' only tells me that i need to change to a different "default" power setting. DO NOT WANT TO DO THAT. uninstalling and reinstalling the display driver DOES NOTHING. And there are NO updates for it. I also have it set to NEVER go to sleep and NEVER to hibernate. If i leave the lid open (forever) it will never shut down, sleep or hibernate. but the minute i close the lid, GAME OVER. i cant leave the lid open forever. Another piece of crap from Windows 10. i have done every update when it comes along (and by the way i love how it removes/changes all my settings after an update, great product).

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
