    Hi Last update W10 pro 1903 build 18362.145 break my OC ;)


    Just update my W10 system with build 18362.145 and i lost any OC my cpu return to stock 3.5Ghz no turboboost to 3.8Ghz and ofc no OC anymore (everything lost) my OC come from my bios settings all was ok before update.


    Here is a bit of spec :

    Asus R5E10 bios 1903 (no update available at the moment)

    I7-6950X broadwell E from what i see CPUID 406F1 from a test with "Inspectre freeware" says that all is "YES" and performance "GOOD" (lol) so i think iam protect...but at what cost....


    i check list from MS with last update from microcode with CPUID 406F1 with Revision 0xB00002C


    I know it come from a microcode i already experienced issues with KB4100347 Intel microcode updates for Windows 10 v1803 - January 8...


    Solution was (for me to choose to avoid ) this install KB4100347.

    with this last 1903 update i dont see anymore this KB4100347 and i dont know where to act.


    So i push my search on web and i see some file name "mcupdate_genuineintel.dll" (mine is from 19/03/2019) with this update could probably the cause of that.


    I want to find a fix to get back my OC and i need a bit help Last update W10 pro 1903 build 18362.145 break my OC ;)

    Did you guys experience same issues with same config ? and if yes

    Did you guys find a workaround and fix for this ?


    I read that it possible to delete mcupdate_genuineintel.dll or rename it BUT

    Delete could cause some booting issues from the system and rename hum ok

    but what type of naming to replace it, maybe someone more experienced have an update file, possible i miss something.


    I really dont want to mess my system cause i just fresh reinstall it last month.

    @enigma101, as I said earlier, as a non-insider I'm not even in any sort of 'ring', but I still got it successfully.

    As noted by @Phone Man, Service Stack updates are not listed in Update History, only in 'uninstall updates'. But I got KB4498524 through windows update at the same time.

    Apparently KB4498524 is a prerequisite for installing KB4497093.

    That surprises me. The reason I downloaded 18362.30 from UUP Dump was that MS had just released that build for a wider distribution on MSDN, suggesting it is the likely RTM.
