Windows 10: Latest 7-Zip Update

The link you posted has 7-Zip 15.11 beta (2015-11-14) for Windows.
I don't see 15.09 beta.
I downloaded the 15.11 beta and I get the warning it may be harmful to my computer.
I have seen that warning before and most of the time it was just false positive.
Just want to know if others downloading the same beta have the same warning message.

 

Thanks for telling me, the latest beta is 15.11(9.20 is the stable) You can ignore that warning, that's just SmartScreen filter acting up on the beta version.

I got that as well. The restart worked fine and 7Zip functions perfectly.

 

You probably either had it open during install or something was opened/being processed by it. Remember 7Zip is also a file manager just like File Explore, although it rides piggy back on FE.

 

whats the difference between 7zip 2010 and 7zip beta?
I tried the beta and it added two additional menu items that im not familiar with.

Seriously, if you need it only to zip & unzip, version 9.20 is enough, but the betas offer more types of files to manage, zip and open. You can now, for example open an ESD file. For more information click the change log link in the first post.

 

You can generate SHA values with right click..
