Windows 10: Latest Intel Chipset Device Software

Thanks a bunch for the heads up.

 

will these new ones work for a MSI Z77A-G45 mainboard ???

 

Tried this new version and I got an installation error. Anyone? Maybe you don't need to rerun it if older version is installed?

 

ran fine on my pc

 

What chipset are you using? Mine is X99.

PS - I have found out older version (1.0.x) works fine. This is the error log from this one.

It seems it has trouble with an msi package.

 

In the interim I have made two different tests:

1. Installed it on another z68 chipset pc. It works fine.
2. Reformatted and ran it on my newly reformatted X99 pc (installed from scratch win10 [10586]). Same behaviour and same error.

What gives?

I've said for years that these updates do nothing, but I thought I would give it a try.

Bottom line: Intel Driver Update Utility didn't find any new drivers.

Yes , but what if you have new hardware that isn't recognized by W10 ?
Would you search for an old version or choose the latest one ?

WTF excuse my semi meaning of a bad word but the intel scan tool does not find any intel drivers *Confused um baffled over this as my board is a intel board it's a MSI Z77A-G45 so um ???? how the heck do i update them to the latest if it can't find them??

That tool is pretty worthless for updating intel drivers, chipset and graphics drivers alike.
Why not use the links at the top of this thread ?
