Windows 10: Latest Intel HD Graphics Driver Not Installing Error - Please help!

I'm using Dell Inspiron 15 3675 with Windows 10 Home Version 20H2 x64.

Laptop Specs: Intel Core i5-8250U, Intel UHD 620 Graphics, 480GB SSD, 1TB HDD, 8GB DDR4 RAM


Currently, I have version 27.20.100.8681 of the Intel HD Graphics driver. I went to Dell Support Page Drivers & Downloads Section and found that there's a new driver available which was released on 05 Feb 2021 with version 27.20.100.8854. I downloaded the driver but when I try to install it, it's throwing an error stating that my operating system is not supported.









I checked the detailed page of that driver and found that both my laptop model and operating system support it. Don't know what's causing the issue to throw that error. I have posted this in Dell Community but no one is responding to help me. I hope I find some answers here so that I can install the latest driver.

All other new drivers are installing perfectly but only having problems with this Intel HD graphics driver.

I think Windows 10 Version 20H2 is causing the problem for the driver to not find that this OS is supported.

Intel HD Graphics, Help!!

Hello,

On my device manager under display adapters it says Intel(R) HD Graphics Family but in the adapter string it says I have Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400. Does this mean I have Graphics 4400?

If I do have Graphics 4400 I tried installing it in display adapters by

Update Driver Software - Browse my computer for driver software - Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer - Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400

But then it says the driver selected for this device does not support this version of windows

Im running a HP Probook 430 G2 with 64-bit Windows 10 Pro.

Could I get help on how to install this.

Intel Iris Pro Graphics 5200 cards (4th Generation)

Intel HD Graphics 5300 cards (Intel Core M Processors)

Intel Iris Graphics 6100 (5th Generation)

Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200 (5th Generation)

Intel HD Graphics 5500, 6000 (5th Generation)

Intel HD Graphics 515, 520, 530 (6th Generation)

Intel Iris Graphics 540, 550 (6th Generation)

Intel Iris Pro Graphics 580 (6th Generation)

try this, it works for many people:


1.- Download from this site the beta zip file (win64_154012.zip), and not the exe file:

Download Beta Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows® 10 and Windows 7*/8.1* [15.40]

(for 32-bit download win32_154012.zip).

2.- Unzip the driver to C:\Windows\Temp folder.

3.- Right click on Start and choose Device Manager, Display adapters,
Intel(R) HD Graphics Family.

4.- Double click to open it (or right click and choose Properties).

5.- Click on the Driver tab and then on Update Driver.

6.- On the new tab click on Browse my computer for driver software.

7.- On the new tab click on Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

8.- On the new tab click on Have Disk.

9.- Click on Browse and then choose Windows\Temp\win64_154012\Graphics\igdlh64.inf
(igdlh32.inf for 32-bit) and click on Open and then
OK.

10..- On the new tab where Intel (R) HD Graphics Family is showing click on
Next and let the driver to install.

11.- The new Driver Version is 20.19.15.4326 and is digitally signed.

Be aware to follow step by step all the procedure and do not try to use the wizard to update the driver directly, in many cases it won’t work.

 

Cannot install intel Graphics HD 4000 Driver Windows 10

Hi Victoria,

Please try to un-install and install latest display driver and check if it helps.

• Press Windows + X, click on Device
  Manager.
• Expand Display adapter, right click on device and select
  Uninstall.

Download the latest driver from the link below and install.

Downloads for Intel® HD Graphics 4000
