Windows 10: Latest Window Update causing problems

I accepted a recommended Windows 10 update a few weeks ago and am having at least two problems. I tried clicking on a link in some email, which was doing OK before the latest update of Windows 10. When I click on the link, I get a message telling me that the "operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer," and tells me to contact the administrator. I am the administrator. I also had a problem after the update that Internet Explorer 11 (which I had been using on occasion) could not be found! I called the help line and they told me that my Bios, last updated on 323/2012, was not compatible with the new update, which now denies compatibility. She told me to contact Gigabyte technology, Ltd, which I guess I need to do. Is the problem with clicking on links in email (as well as in other programs) caused by the same problem? Regardless, how do I solve the problem with my administrator allowing this operation? I can access my account fine, which shows me as the administrator. Please help...

firefox and IE will cause problems?

could there be any reasonable explanation why firefox and ie would cause problems?

oh, and when the machine crashes it is the blue screen of death and when windows recovers it suggests bios update. this is a machine that hasnt been upgraded driver wise or bios wise, yet they insist it is firefox. give me a break.

 

Latest Windows 10 update - problems

From the description I understand that, after installing the latest update you lost the access to the taskbar.

In Windows 10, your device is always kept up to date with the latest features and fixes. Updates and drivers are installed automatically, with no need to select which updates are needed or not needed.
In rare cases, a specific driver or update might temporarily cause issues with your device.

I suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.

• In search type Taskbar and select
  customize the taskbar.
• Now check if auto-hide task bar is tick marked.
• If yes, uncheck the check box, click on Apply
  and OK.

Once you get your taskbar back, follow the below steps to pin applications to taskbar.

• Go to the applications which you want to pin to taskbar.
• Right click on it and select pin to taskbar.

Example: Right click on Chrome from desktop icon and select pin to taskbar.

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.
