Windows 10: Latest Windows update, KB4458469, does not download.

This update should be available from settings/windows update. It does not download on either of my two laptops one which is Windows 10 Pro the other Windows 10 Home. The servicing stack update KB446655, which was supposed to also download as a pre requisite was installed on the 11th of September 18th.


My current Windows version is 1803 build 17134.286. When I attempt to download and install the new update, Windows update tells me that I am up to date, which obviously I am not?


I am aware others have this problem so could MS please make an announcement and tell us what they are doing or what we should do about this? Meanwhile I would be grateful for any information about this. Thank you.

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

 

Latest Windows 10 update will not download

• Disconnect all the peripheral devices except for the mouse and keyboard.

Follow these steps to run the Windows inbuilt troubleshooter:

• Write Troubleshooting in the search box and hit enter.

• Click on Troubleshooting tab.
  

• Click on view all option on the upper left corner.
  

• Select the Windows Update option from the list.
  

• Click Next to run the Troubleshooter.

Try to use the Windows Update troubleshooter and see if it helps.

Windows 10 forced download

^This, then reboot and go to manually update windows. Find KB3035583 in the list of available updates, right-click and "Hide this update" so it doesn't get installed again next go around.
