Windows 10: Left-clicking System Tray icons doesn't open them since latest update Windows 10 version 2004

Since updating to Windows 10 Version 2004, I can no longer open System Tray icons sound/battery/wifi/notifications/calendar/etc when left-clicking on them.


Right-clicking does bring up some options, but not all of them work e.g Right-clicking on notifications and then selecting "Open action center" doesn't do anything.


I've already run System File Checker and Restore Health, but that did not solve the issue.

• Is the issue specific to system icons?
• Are you facing this issue after any recent update?

Minimize to icon tray not working in Windows 10 Anniversary Edition

Since updating to Windows 10 Anniversary Edition, RealTemp is no longer minimizing to my icon tray. Is anyone else having these issues?

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
