Windows 10: Lenovo ideapad 500/Intel Wireless 7265 compatibility problems

Hi and thanks in advance for any help. I recently installed an Intel Wireless 7265 on the laptop it originally had a Broadcom network card. On linux this card is working fine in fact this post is being made by this computer through linux wirelessly, so this makes me think this is an issue with the way Win. 10 is handling the drivers for this computer and some causing it to not work properly.


Windows recognizes that this card down to the chipset/model however it gives a code 10: this device cannot start.


Upon further inspection it is says that I needs further installation.

Compatibility of Lenovo Ideapad S400 to Windows 10

I have lenovo Ideapad S400 notebook (i3-2nd gen, Ati 7450, 4GB RAM, Windows 7 HP SP1 etc.). According to lenovo's compatibility list, Ideapad S 400 is not fully compatible TO UPGRADE FOR WINDOWS 10 ; so not recommended for this upgrade. But relax,
Ideapad S400 is 100% compatible to Windows 10. No hardware issue or no driver issue were found with this free upgrade to Windows 10. My notebook is performing great with windows 10 . But I would like to advice to all Ideapad
S400 users to upgrade their pc from iso file downloaded from Media creation tool
instead of windows update or direct upgrade by MCT.

It's weird !

do you see it when you type intel rapid in the Windows start menu?





If you don't see it something has gone wrong!






I see calls to functions in the Intel RST Module, when there is access to the disk.
If Intel RST has broken down that can cause issues.

I suggest you install it again from the Lenovo Website
