Windows 10: Lenovo laptop windows 10 cannot access bios

Hello,


i have a lenovo ideapad z570 laptop. after installing windows 10, i cannot access bios settings anymore. laptop starts nothing happens when bios access key (f2) pressed. it goes straight to the windows loading screen bypassing the bios.

and no uefi setting is showing in the settings ->recovery->restart->advanced options section either.


my laptop support UEFI.

Win + R then type winver. Select your OEM on the list and check if Lenovo has an update for the drivers on your laptop. You may also need Lenovo to assist you if there's an update with your laptop's system BIOS.

Exactly. The BIOS effectively are software in mainboard flash memory. It isn't firmware anymore. There's nothing to stop OEMs from putting whatever they want in that space.


Lenovo has been on my shit list since not long after they bought out IBM's PC division. The Windows reinstall disks were 1 disk Windows, 6 disks mandatory crapware. Welcome to the next generation crapware.
