Windows 10: lenovo/W520/windows 10 home denied permissions to lenovo\windows 10 pro even tho later is...

I have two computers:

A. Lenovo w520 windows 10 pro upgraded from windows 7 (network name Admin-pc)

B. Lenovo P71 windows 10 home installed with purchase (network name LenovoP71)


On both computers file manager/network shows the other's icon

I can now access P71 and open folders from W520 but

When I try to open folders on W520 from P71 I get a message "Admin-Pc is not accessible. You might not have permissions...")


I have tried many suggestions including:

activate and make automatic web services DNSclient, Function Discovery, SSDP, UPnP.


I have tried to change the setting to indicate that I am not a business and not on a domain but it doesn't stay changed or allow me to save it.


I have set sharing permissions on both root drives to full permissions for "everyone".


What do I have to do?

Lenovo w520 upgraded to windows 10 does not recognize any cam


I have a Lenovo Laptop W520 which I upgraded 2 years ago from the original Windows 7 to Windows 10
No cam problems at all - ie the Lenovo cam worked with Windows 10
10 days ago the internal cam not recognize (see pic #1)
Soon after I noticed also USB external Logitec 9000 web cam also not recognized on laptop (updated drivers installed for windows 10 and this cam works on another computer )

Microsoft says now after removing and re-installing driver - that it will never work because the Lenovo drivers are only for windows 7. But it worked just fine until 10 days ago on windows 10







Microsoft says they cannot help because driver is only for windows 7 (even tho it worked for 2 years)
Lenovo says they cannot help because they are not planing any upgrade for this integrated web cam to windows 10

I tied unsuccessful restore - I tried returning to previous windows 10 build Nada

Microsoft is now suggesting I return completely to windows 7 but I will loose all of my data programs links etc etc

can I fix this myself?

Is there anything I can do to FORCE my laptop to recognize the internal cam or a logitec cam?
Perhaps a driver that is not exactly made for this computer but will force it to recognize the cam?

 

Lenovo Ready to Launch Windows 10 Devices

Lenovo today announced it will begin shipping a wide selection of products loaded with Windows 10 starting July 29. Lenovo has an extensive list of products eligible for this upgrade including popular models like the YOGA 3 Pro and YOGA 500. Lenovo customers can check here for their product's eligibility.

Lenovo has worked with Microsoft Corp. to make the process of upgrading simple, for people with qualified Lenovo PC running Windows 7 SP1 or 8.1 to upgrade to Windows 10. Starting on July 29, the updates will roll out. If a user has reserved a copy of Windows 10, he/she will be notified once the compatibility process confirms that the user will have a great experience, and Windows 10 has been downloaded on their system.





Lenovo Apps Enhance Windows 10 Experience
To give users consistent experiences across devices and operating systems, the preloads include a suite of Lenovo-written applications. The new Lenovo Companion 3.0 optimization tool keeps devices running at peak performance and can be used at any time to run a full-scale checkup and report back with specific actions to free up space and speed up the device. As a "smart" device control hub, the new Lenovo Settings lets users easily adapt and modify the way their device behaves. For example, when in tablet mode, the product will customize its display and other settings based on its orientation versus in traditional laptop mode. How is the NAS on windows 10 Pro? Is it software or a share? Did you check ntfs vs share permissions?
