I have asked before. What gives Microsoft the right to remove good drivers and replace with ****.

I don't know what you've read but Edge is just a browser so it doesn't have anything to do with audio card drivers.

Yes your audio card needs Windows 10 compatible drivers to make it work and no, Windows does not automatically recognise every different brand or model of hardware device that might be in any particular computer. We often have to look those up ourselves
to get and install the drivers. Lenovo would be the first place to look for those.

You should download and use these drivers if you consider continuing with Windows 10 and replace MS default drivers, which may have caused the original problem you saw. As I said a clean install of Windows 10 should always be better than an upgrade but you
should still use Lenovo drivers.
