    Letter p always pressed in on-screen keyboard


    My physical keyboard is broken. Therefore was using the on screen keyboard. Now when I open the on screen keyboard, letter p is automatically and always pressed. Therefore letter p is constantly typing everywhere. The only way to stop it is by pressing alt key. But after I unpress it, p starts to be typing every where? Give me a solution to this problem.

    pressing "p" key opens volume control - cannot type the letter p!

    Sadly, neither of your suggestions worked - and I still can't type the letter p...thanks anyway!

    As above - for the past couple of days I cannot type the letter p (upper or lower case) - pressing the key opens volume control. I have to copy and paste the letter just to type the letter p...

    More than annoying! Have googled to no avail. How can I get my p back?

    Keyboard letters problem

    Here are the first two steps you need to take:

    • Try a different keyboard (or an external USB keyboard in case of a laptop)
    • See if the problem persists with the on-screen keyboard (osk.exe)
