    lg 34wl500-b monitor no 2560 x 1080 resolution after update to 19041

I was recently FORCED to upgrade to W10 19041. After the update my LG 34WL500-b ultra-wide monitor, which had been working fine on the previous W10 version, no longer displayed at the proper width but showed a screen stretched horizontally. I checked display settings and found that the max resolution available is 1920 x 1080; there is no 2560 x 1080 option like before the update. Same for the resolution options on the Nvidia control panel for GTX 1050 Ti. I double checked device manager and the monitor has the latest LG HDR WFGD drivers. No other changes--same HDMI cable, graphics card, etc., as when it was working. The update caused the problem. How to fix?

    :)

    screen resolution 2560 x 1080 for Windows 10

    Hi,

I'm using the Surface Book and running into the same problem. I have a widescreen monitor that requires 2560 x 1080 resolution, but my laptop can only do a max of 1920 x 1080. I've tried your suggestions, but neither work. My drivers are all up to date.

Why will my Ultrawide (2560 x 1080) monitor work at correct resolution in Linux (Ubuntu) but not Windows 10? Acer E15, Intel HD graphics, LG 25UM58

    Hi All

I've been browsing other questions and answers for 2 days regarding getting my Ultrawide monitor to display in full 2560 x 1080 resolution. It worked in Ubuntu without installing or changing any settings - I just plugged it in. This is running via HDMI from
the laptop as an additional display in my soon to be "man cave".

I've been through some posts that said "change your HDMI cable" (doesn't help), update your drivers (Acer haven't released new ones - it won't let me install "generic" Intel ones (even manually because it says it's the wrong version of windows..... despite
being the correct one as far as I can tell (win 10, 64 bit).

I've installed CRU and "Screen resolution changer" as some recommended but they don't allow me to choose 2560 x 1080 in display properties after playing with them.

I've installed monitor drivers for my LG 25UM58 - there also seems to be a tool that suggests it adds 2560 x 1080 to my set up but it still doesn't appear.

I'm running Window 10 64 bit HOME, on an Acer Aspire E 15, E5-511-C6J9. It has Intel HD graphics (driver does not list a number for the graphics - the Intel system information tool says it's 4600) and the Celeron N2830 processor.

I had installed a graphics driver for 2016, but it has now resorted back to 10.18.10.4226 25/05/2015 it seems :-s. Neither seem to list 2560 x 1080. Some videos on Youtube say to use "custom resolution" in the Intel Graphics control panel - but I don't have
that menu. The monitor is correctly identified as LGUltrawide when plugged in.

I was more than happy to accept that is was a budget laptop and it won't output that resolution - but the fact that Linux will allow it to display the resolution without tweaking makes me doubt it for obvious reasons.

Any help appreciated - I'm happy to start again step by step if that helps.
