Discus and support License Transfer question in Windows 10 Support to solve the problem; Panic over. Found my 8 pro disk and installed on my laptop after burning a set of recovery disks.     License Transfer question


    Panic over. Found my 8 pro disk and installed on my laptop after burning a set of recovery disks.

    I was then able to update to 10 Pro directly with out installing the 8.1 update thus saving myself £100! Result!
