Windows 10: LifeChat LX-3000 Warranty

I purchased a Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 on August 27, 2019 from a retailer through Amazon.com. The microphone has stopped functioning. I believe it is the connection leading from the headset to the in-line mute/ volume control. I believe this because I heard static if the wire is moved in a certain way.


What is the warranty for this product? The retailer will only replace up to 30 days. After that point, I need to approach the manufacturer.


I am an online teacher. I need this item daily. I expected it to last at least one school year.

Warranty for Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000

I bought a Microsoft, LifeChat LX-3000 headphones. In the back of the packaging, it reads two year warranty. At the store, (Office Depot, in San Salvador) I was told that the 2 year warranty only applied after registration of the product online. I tried
registering on the Microsoft website. The option to register the headphones is not given. Has anybody activated this warranty? Is there a need, for activation of the warranty? Is it not already included the moment the product is bought?

LifeChat LX-3000 unplugged

I have had the LifeChat LX-3000
headset for a while now, 3 days ago it stopped working, device managed says unplugged I have tried every usb port snd checked
settings, it still says unplugged, getting real tired of microsoft products that stop working and I need a fix or I will buy a known working unit
