Windows 10: Limited RAM Usable

    Limited RAM Usable


    Hi! This is my very first question on Microsoft Community. I am having a RAM issue on my laptop, and cannot find a solution. I have 3 gigabytes of RAM installed, but the System tab in Settings says: 3.00 GB installed 2.47 GB usable


    Does anyone know how to fix this? I've looked in my BIOS and there are no settings that are reserving RAM, and msconfig has maximum memory turned off. I'm running Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit, if anyone was wondering.

    Usable RAM

    The RAM is recognized. In BIOS it shows exact amount installed, Windows also shows exact amount installed but limits usable RAM.

    I have 12 GB of RAM installed however Windows say that only 8 is available (basically it doesn't see 1 RAM stick out of 2. Also when I place those 2 in dual channel everything is okay. But if I add more RAM to the non-dual channel
    slot, this stick won't be usable (it is recognized, since windows properly says how much RAM I have installed) either.

    I don't have limitation in msconfig and there doesn't seem to be anything related to the problem in BIOS (MoBo GA-970-DS3P). I also don't have integrated GPU.

    I have 16GB RAM but it indicates only 1.98GB usable. How do I make all 16 usable?
