Windows 10: Link via Discord/Steam takes forever to open.

Hey Tenforum community,

I am having trouble opening links that get send to me via discord/steam.
Normally it instantly open in Chrome.
But now it takes ~30 sec to open a link in chrome when I click on it.
If I copy the link manually and paste it in url bar it open instantly.
Never had this problem before so I hope someone can help me.

Edit: This happened on a fresh windows 10 x64 install with latest drivers.
Edit2: I tried to set my default browser to Edge to see if it fixes the problem. But Edge also reproduce the same behavior as Chrome.
Edit3: I think my http and https open registry is broken, trying to fix it.

programs crashing.

When ever i try to open applications such as steam, discord, etc. , they crash after 2 seconds of opening.

 

Did you ever find the cause? I am experiencing the exact same thing. Fresh install.

 

The cause is something within Edge. Many people note it clears up after a couple of days but if you installed the latest version (Fall Creators) you can go into Settings, do a reset and repair of Microsoft Edge it will correct the issue.
