    Hi,


    I have a Linx 1020 tablet. After installing the 1803 update and restarting I just get a black desktop with the recycle bin visible and nothing else. Absolutely nothing works, i. e. I can't open the start menu, windows explorer, control panel, connect to WiFi etc. This error message is also displayed "C:\\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is unavailable. If the location is on this PC, make sure that the device or drive is connected or the disc is inserted, then try again. If the location is on a network, make sure that you're connected to the network or Internet, then try again. If the location still can't be found, it might have been moved or deleted."


    Any help regarding this would be appreciated. I don't have anything important on this tablet so I don't mind doing a complete reinstall if need be.

    Linx 1020 tablet will not work after Windows Update

    Does Anybody Know a deadline before 1020 owners can update, I just got a replacement, and it said to update, and I stopped it because of the bricking issues.

    I had my linx 10 replaced with a linx 1020 literally today.

    I was advised to do a update and downlod the installer off the Linx website

    however i am now unable to turn the tablet on at all! Similar to what you have all said
