    Hi all,


    A friend asked me to look at my computer as it was freezing intermittently.


    He asked me to run sfc /scannow

    In the log CBS for sfc /scannow it showed the subject line

    Loaded Servicing Stack v10.0.18362.235 with Core: C:\WINDOWS\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-servicingstack_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.18362.235_none_5f42305c58dc2c51\cbscore.dll


    This is an i7 computer?


    There are other mentions of amd64 as well.


    How can I get rid of these please and just use what i need for a Pentium i7

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    Hi Neville,

    Servicing stack updates are not listed in the Update History. A workaround is to install the newest cumulative update, which requires your device to have the latest servicing stack update Installed. If it says the update is not applicable provided it is for
    your version and architecture, it probably would mean you do not have the latest SSU.
