    Loading pictures in my widows 10 computer


    I use to put an SD card in y computer and auto play would pop up and I would select all the pictures and then begin loading them. I would then go to my Pictures and they would be there in a folder with the date now since I began Using a Canon R5 they load but just go into My Pictures as separate images instead of going into its own folder with the .date in my pictures Does any one know why they dont load in dated folder in My Pictures.

    I want the old Widows Picture Viewer loaded on my new computer.

    Dear Melowin,

    The computer that has the app I want to change came loaded with Windows 10 and the new Photos app. I did try your suggestion and the two choices listed = the default (Photos) and Paint. I went to the app store, but the desired application (Windows Photo
    Viewer) was not listed.

    Quick Access not searching Pictures folder

    Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

    • I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.


    • Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.
    That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

    Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.
