Local security authority protection is on but warns as off

The Windows Security icon in the system tray has a small yellow triangle with an exclamation mark, and when I hover the mouse on it, I see the text "Windows Security - actions recommended". When I click the icon, the Settings app opens on Device Security / Core Isolation, but although the text says that Local Security Authroity protection is off, the slider shows that it is on. See attached screen shot. It seems that I am seeing the warning in error. A restart of the PC doesn't fix the problem.

    :)

  2. Local Security Authority protection Bug?

Open an admin Command Prompt and run these two commands:

    • reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa" /v "RunAsPPL" /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f
    • reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa" /v "RunAsPPLBoot" /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f
Restart Windows. That should clear the yellow exclamation warning.

Local Security Authority is on but I'm getting warnings

    Windows 11 Single Language

I am getting warnings in the message center that Local Security Authority protection is off. But, when I check, it's turned on.

I have toggled it on and off and rebooted - still getting the message.

I don't want to dismiss the message in case there is an error.

Any suggestions to resolve this please?
