Windows 10: Local to microsoft account issues

If I click on setting and go to accounts then click on email & accounts.. it will just load forever. I have givin it 2 hours to load and it never stop. If I were to click on sync your settings it will freeze for 5 minutes but will load the page. If I click on sign-in-options I will only get security key option despite the fact that I am using Password sign-in. So if I wanted to change to say pin logon I would have to set that option another way. If I were to open microsoft store and try clicking on the sign-in button to log into my microsoft account it will do nothing at all. If I went to

Changing local account to Microsoft account issue

We don't have a specific cause why the issue occur. The error message you provided is a little broad and we can't narrow down the reason behind this issue. To help you, let me suggest that you create a new account with your Microsoft account in it. Please
follow the steps below on how to create a new account:

• Press Windows key and search for Settings.
• Select Accounts
• Under Your emails and accounts, click Add a Microsoft account
• Follow the on-screen instructions

After making a new Microsoft account, you can copy all the files on your previous user. Please follow steps below:

• Press Windows key and search for File Explorer.
• Select This PC.
• Click Local Disk.
• Select Users then click your previous account.
• Press Ctrl + A.
• Locate your new account.
• Press Ctrl + A again then press Ctrl + V.

Local account installation question

I'm fairly certain that Skip this step was available in 10.0.130 - the workaround in Step 20 (back button) is no longer required.

The currently known, as of 10.0.130, ways to create a Local account sign-in are

• Skip this step at the MS account creation phase
• No Internet connection during the install
• static IP (post# 2 by Fragment) - New (to me anyway)

 

Local Account password changed to Online Account Password

Hi,

I suggest you to follow the steps on how to switch from Microsoft account to Local account:

• Click on search in taskbar and type account.
• Click on Accounts.
• Now, under Your account, click on Sign in with Local account instead.
• Enter your Microsoft account password for confirmation and then follow the screen instruction.
• Enter User name credentials for your the Local account and click OK.
• Now, login to Local account.
