  1. LocalServiceNoNetworkFirewall - Does Microsoft Ever Read These Posts and Do Anything About...

I've been fighting this LocalServiceNoNetworkFirewall issue for a couple months now. It mostly seems to fire up when I open a PDF file in Acrobat Reader DC. I have AVG Anti-Virus and Firewall, and I've tried turning off AVG, but LocalServiceNoNetworkFirewall keeps coming up and stopping everything for several minutes at a time several times per hour.

And I mean it stops EVERYTHING! Task Manager says the LocalServiceNoNetworkFirewall is using about 25% processor, but the other 75% is dead. It is like LocalServiceNoNetworkFirewall grabs a lock to prevent all other processes from doing anything. I will click on many things and nothing happens, until LocalServiceNoNetworkFirewall goes away, then everything I clicked happens at once.

Also when the LocalServiceNoNetworkFirewall process is running the fans on my tower go to warp speed and really roar. Task Manager also says Power Usage and Trend on the LocalServiceNoNetworkFirewall process is Very High.

Microsoft, please wake up and fix this ASAP.

    :)

How do I change (Read Only) on Microsoft Word

When I downloaded Windows 10 and used my Microsoft Word it was in (Read Only) and I tried looking up how to solve the problem including looking at properties on my document to uncheck read only, but it was already unchecked. I have tried all the steps suggested.

  3. Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
    Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

    1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
    2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
    3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.
    Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
    3. Select add someone else on this PC.
    4. Enter a user name and hit next.
    5. Click on Finish.
    6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
    Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

READ BEFORE POSTING!! The Rules of this Forum

Under Only post in a FS/FT thread if you are..., where it says:

"3) Negotiating the price of an item you want to buy. (But this should be done through private messages.)"

If this "should be done through private messages," then why is it listed as a legitimate reason to post in a thread? I suggest removing that unless there's a reason for it I'm not aware of.
