Windows 10: Lock Screen slideshow trouble

I’ve created a folder of some pictures I would like to show up in a slideshow on my Lock Screen on my pc. When I go to Lock Screen and select slideshow, then select the folder, it says it’s empty and I can’t get it to work. I can get a single picture to work but for some reason when I click on a folder full of pictures it says it’s empty. I keep going back and forth between that and the actual folder and the pictures appear when I look at the folder itself but not when I select it in the slideshow setting.

  Type Lock screen in the search bar and press enter

  Select Advanced Slideshow settings
  
• 
  Click on Turn off screen after slideshow has played for and select the time limit

So i just tried the lock screen slideshow when the date changed to march 1st and now it works again, WTF?
