No not normally, I have my Lock screen turned off so it goes right to the Login which is the same as my lock screen was when I had it running.

Not necessarily, sir. It's an option you can select, and it is what I want. My lock screen screenshot and my sign-in screen screenshot are displaying different pictures. I'd like them to display the same picture, which they did before the latest Windows 10 update.

    Hi Josey -

I've run the scan, and it indicates no problems.

You can disable the Lock screen then you will boot right to the Login. If you are the only user there is no need for a lock screen. Let me know..

    Hi Josey -

I've tried your suggestions, and they do not address the issue. I do not want to change default or user lock screen screenshot. That is fine. I do not want to disable the logon (sign-in) screenshot either. That leaves me with the gray screen I mentioned earlier in the thread.

What I want to do is get my sign-in screen screenshot to be the same as my lock screen screenshot. That's it. I have the "Show lock screen background picture on the sign-in screen" selector set to On. This issue started with the latest update to Windows 10 (now at 16299 on my machine.) This is happening on my Surface Pro 4, though I don't know how or if that's relevant. If you need other info to help solve the problem I'm actually having, please let me know. Thank you again!

To find out after all this time that you are using a surface Pro...When you joined this forum you were asked to fill out your system specs. Please do so. Just putting in Windows 10 Pro does not get it.

Josey, I had no idea that mattered. My apologies. Those were optional settings as I recall, and I wanted to get this resolved ASAP. I've filled all the info in that I could, using Device Manager and System Information.

    Hi.
Josey, it looks to me like you've covered just about every angle I can think of, short of a repair install. Not sure what else can be done. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Josey, I've been off for while, and just got your message. I've never seen a Surface, either, though doubt that would make any difference. Is the OP using Windows Spotlight, I think it's called? That changes whenever MS decides to update it, usually daily. I read the proposed solutions, and maybe a Reset is the answer. These issues are hard to diagnose unless you're right in front of the machine. Lot's of variables. Sorry, all I have.

  14. I would not do anything at the moment. I was on a thread and connected another thread. Two members reported issues There seems to be a bug. I tried what they were doing and the screens didn't match or use values selected. Let me see if I can find those threads.
