Windows 10: Locked out of device due to poor Windows verification information

Bit of background first I am a computer tech and have been since the 90s. Currently working a home based business and most of my clients are pension age or thereabouts.Just got off the phone with a Microsoft Tech who was very helpful and we had one of those tech to tech discussionsHere's the issueClient set up a new laptop about a year or two ago with Windows 10Part of the process as you know says login with your Microsoft accountHe didn't have one he probably doesn't need one for what he wants to doHe's created a new account and a new password then the trouble startsA few more screens in

Trusted Device and Two-Step Verification Frustrations!

then make your device as Trusted while signing in and check if it resolves the issue.
