Windows 10: Locked out of my computer by Microsoft.

Recently my laptop broke and I had to revert to an old one to continue my work which worked fine but then on closedown I was prompted to upgrade which I did. The next time I booted up Iwas met with the Window to log into Microsoft. The problem is that the email address shown was a defunct one and one that had not been used fo at least 4 years. So any sign in was not accepted because I did not have any information of passwords etc. On following the procedure to recover my sign in I discovered that my criteria was not enough for the algorithm to accept that I was the owner.

I understand the reasons for this but it now means that I am completely locked out and unable to continue my important work because Microsoft effectively has prevented it.

I am very annoyed that this is the case and that there is no way toget past this window to change my account details.

I need a way to get into my laptop to be able to continue my work and ideally log into my latest Microsoft account.

computer keeps locking up...

him your computer locks up.... check what your running and see if it affects it cause this shouldn't happen it could be your ram or your mouse but i'm just giving a suggestion

 

Lock screen issue

  Go to Settings>>Personalization>>Lock Screen.
  
• 
  In the right panel, select Picture instead of Windows Spotlight.

If you are referring to the lock screen, I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• On the lock screen, click on Ease of access icon next to network connection icon.
• Click On Screen keyboard.
• Type the password and check.

I also suggest you to change the language and check.

• On the lock screen, click on language icon next to network connection icon.
• Click the language to US English.
• Type the password and check.
