Windows 10: Lockscreen delay

Hello,

I have a pretty good Lenovo laptop. i7-9750, 1660 ti, 16 gb ram, etc. It's a gaming laptop so my computer runs pretty fast. And my Windows is up to date, as well as the other drivers.

But I'm not sure if it's related to some last Windows 10 update, but since 2 days ago, when I turn on my computer, my lockscreen has some weird delay and I can't type my pin to go to my desktop. I don't think it's a keyboard issue, since I can type in after 20-30 seconds, but it's really annoying. It goes like this: once I get into the welcome screen, the insertion point blinks twice and then it freezes, so I suspect the start up programs are turning on before I put my pin. But it didn't happen before, and it usually takes 2 seconds. It just happened suddenly, I don't even install anything or touch anything, I just use the laptop for gaming.

Anyone else?

Lockscreen delay after activating Apps Corner

I also got this lockscreen slow to resume problem.

I thought it was connected to the live lockscreen beta. That is know to cause freezes and delays when waking up, but uninstalling won't help. But there was a tip in the net that uninstalling AND enabling App Corner afterwards would solve it. Unfortunately
not.

Did you also install the live lock screen beta before?

 

Long delay before lockscreen appears after logging in, Spotlight not working

I'm running Windows 10 Pro, Version 1607. Recently, I started facing this problem where, when I press Win+L to lock the PC, the screen goes blank with only the cursor visible and movable. After about 2 minutes or so, the lockscreen appears. There is no delay
in displaying the lockscreen before I login to my PC. Also, if I press Ctrl+Alt+Del and click on 'Lock', the loading animation shows on the screen for about 2 minutes, and then the lockscreen appears.

Besides, choosing Windows Spotlight as the lockscreen background doesn't work, and it instead shows a static image. The lockscreen delay problem is present no matter what I have set as the background image.

I tried the solution mentioned by Navneet Anand at Windows Spotlight Not Working / Apps not showing and the solutions mentioned at How to Fix Windows Spotlight Not Working in Windows 10
but they did not fix the problem.

I tried switching my account on the PC to a local account. It resolved the lockscreen delay problem, but Windows Spotlight images didn't appear. When I switched back to a Microsoft account, the lockscreen delay reappeared.

Any ideas on how I can fix both these issues?

lockscreen bug

Hi all,

reporting a bug with lockscreen - when wake up from sleeping mode it flicks a home screen for a second than it goes to lockscreen. Happends when brightness set to medium on my OMnia 7..
