Windows 10: Login from bootup

Hi,


I have an Alianware Aurora R8 which has been running Win 10 ok for 9 months. I started the PC yesterday and the welcom screen showed

The PIN is incorrect

This was without any input from me! I clicked OK few times and and briefly noticed that the input box was being auto filled with zeros before the above showed again.

After some more clicing OK, the following message came up enter A1B2C3, which I did. Then I was able to enter the PIN and The desktop opened.

I spent yesterady trying to figure out what is happening, without any luck. I did find that both a restart and return from sleep work correctly by displaying the request for the PIN.


I hope that there is someone out there who can give me some advice.

Can't login to new computer w/Windows 10

  Are you able to login to Microsoft Account on Web?

  Have you installed any language pack?
  

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to select the appropriate language in login screen at the bottom right corner and check if it helps.

Steps 2: Use On-screen keyboard in the login screen to login and check if it helps.

Bootup without login

This often sorts this issue. Change to a local account, reboot, login, then change back to an MS account, and then netwplwiz works.

PS It really is silly to suggest your issue is deliberately intended by MS.

  Are you trying to login to Microsoft account or local account?

  If its Microsoft account are you able to login using the web interface?
  

I suggest you to use the on-screen keyboard and try to login. Follow the steps below:

Click on the Ease of Access icon at the right bottom of the screen and select On-screen keyboard and check if issue persists.
