Windows 10: Login Screen Green/Search Bar, Start Button not working

When logging in, instead of a picture that changes daily on my login screen, it's just green. I can still login just fine but the screen is just green. When I click on my search bar at the bottom right of my desktop where it says, "Type here to search" I'm not able to type anything there. When I click on the start button, there is no response. Also when i click on the battery button, network connection button, sound button, and calendar button in the bottom left of the screen, there is also no response. Does anybody know what I can do to fix this? I have tried restarting my computer and I downloaded an update but there has been no change. Thanks!

Start button and search bar not working

Problem that start button and search do not work has NOT been resolved. I have tried the steps suggested in previous answers but this has not worked. Altogether very frustrating and a big turn off to my opinion of Windows 10. HELP!

Start Button and Search Bar Probloems

I am having problems with my start button and search bar they don't respond the right click on the start button does work though.

 

Windows 10 START and SEARCH buttons don't work


For some reason both my main Windows button and Search buttons don't work. Other buttons on the Task Bar work as usual. Right click on either button gives a white-on-black context menu. Anyone have a suggestion, please?
