    Login screen keeps flashing and resetting


    While trying to login to my PC once I arrive at the login screen windows keeps flashing and alternating to the slide just before login that displays the time and date and then back to the login page repeatably at a constant rate despite my efforts. Attempting to put in my password results in the password field resetting after every flash as well, I am unable to do anything like boot the computer in safemode since attempting to access that menu is futile due to the entire thing resetting back to the first slide every-time. The only thing I am able to do is shut it off and turn it back on via th

    Hi,

    There are many possible reasons why the screen keeps flashing, like outdated display drivers or corrupted user profile.

    Please answer the following questions for us not to repeat the same troubleshooting steps:

    • What are the troubleshooting steps you have performed to resolve the issue?
    • Have you tried to update the display drivers?
    • Have you tried to check Windows update?

    Login Screen Constantly Flashing

    The screen keeps flickering between the date and login screen so I'm unable to click on the power button on the bottom right (in step 1).

    However, I was able to launch safe mode in the automatic repair mode you've suggested previously. Once I log in with safe mode, I get the same system restore error message with some of my apps/files flashing back and forth on my desktop. I've attached a video
    below to show what I'm seeing in safe mode.

    This issue is super frustrating but I really appreciate your help!

    Windows 10 Login Screen flashes and disappears

    Hi Gurjit

    Follow these steps to resolve your problem

    • If you have any updates pending, Install them
    • After updating your PC if you are still not able to login with your Microsoft Account then
    • Go to Start Menu
    • Select Settings(above power)
    • Go to Update and Security
    • In Recovery Tab
    • Select "Reset your PC"
    ALWAYS KEEP A BACKUP OF YOUR FILES!!
