Windows 10: Login successful. Login unsuccessful...?

Hi, I have this 'problem' every time I login on my computer. After writing my password and clicking the button welcome-screen flashes and then there comes a message saying something like:

Only option the message give is to click on OK-button. And there is also this Windows defender saying that it's disabled due to Group policies. I'm not sure does it have anything to do with this login-problem of mine. Googling didn't give any answer for this.

Upgraded to Windows 10, now I can't log in to computer via Microsoft Account

I did a little more testing on the affected laptop. Here's what I found:

I noticed while in my Microsoft account on another computer, that in my recent activity I saw multiple failed login attempts. no surprise, right? What caught my attention was there were successful login attempts from the affected laptop even though I was
getting the "Incorrect password" error message.

Here's how I know:

I used my iPhone in hotspot mode to connect the affected laptop to the internet. I simultaneously had my Microsoft account up on another computer. I recorded the time and IP address of the failed and successful login attempts.

By using the iPhone's hotspot, it gave me a way to see which attempted logins were successful, by IP address and timestamp.

As suspected, when I entered my correct password into the login field of the affected laptop, I saw both a successful login recorded in my Microsoft account web page with the IP address of my iPhone, and the login on the laptop produced a failed login error
message.

OK, Microsoft. The ball is in your court.

Hi I have installed windows 10 on my IBM laptop.

when I login an error comes to says that login was not successful and problem can be fixed with re login...

It doesn't allow me to login unless I dismiss it and than it says that all I am on temporary login ??

It looks like you have the Display information about previous logons during user logon policy enabled. Disabling it using the tutorial below should stop that in Windows 10 as well.

If you have a 3rd party AV program installed, they will often disable Windows Defender. If you don't, then check to see if you may be able to turn Windows Defender on using the tutorial below.
