Windows 10: Logitech C270 Webcam crashes

Hi,


I am having issues with my Logitech C270 Webcam. It freezes and crashes in most of my video chat apps Skype, Zoom every 2-5 minutes. I would need to pull it out and replug it to get it working again. I've tried a lot of solutions I found online including editing the registry, updating the drivers but none of it worked. I am unable to do system restore as I don't have a restore point saved which I thought I did but for some reason, system can't find it.


I am currently using 64-bit Windows 10.


I would greatly appreciate any help!

Logitech webcam C270

Have a check in Sound Control panel.

Then look at "Properties" for your microphone and then "Listen" tab.

Is "Listen to this device" check marked. Try removing

 

Logitech C270 software "launcher main.exe" won't load, keeps crashing with today's update.

To help you with your concern, let me suggest you to update the driver of your WebCam on the Device Manager. Please follow the steps below to update the driver:

• Press Windows key + X
• Click Device Manager
• Look for the Logitech C270
• Right-click the driver then select Properties,
• Under Driver tab, click Update Driver
• Follow the on-screen instructions

Logitech C270 webcam "Logitech Webcam Software" can not install

I have been trying for two days to make international call on my my Logitech C270 webcam and did some research. I noticed that the Logitech sound driver is for 32 bits, and my laptop is 62 bits working on Windows 10. I guess this is the cause. I looked
up on my control panel the Logitech sound driver is dated 22 Oct 2012. I will probably have to return the webcam to the store where I purchased it.
