    When I do not have access to WiFi, I still need to unlock my desktop to access documents. How do I bypass the WiFi requirement?

    Windows 10 wifi not turning on Acer Aspire laptop

    In order to get the list of available wireless networks, you have to:

    1. Switch on Connect to suggested open hotspots (see the screenshot in question);
    2. Click on Wifi icon in the right corner. Now you have your networks back.

    After that the parameter from Step 1 can be turned off, networks will be listed normally after restarting Wifi.

    P.S. I feel rather stupid at the moment. I thought that open hotspots are passwordless hotspots and so are presumably not very safe. So of course I've turned that off during installation.
    Really hard to see any logic in this case.

    WiFi logon problems - Andy

    I've uploaded Windows 10 and everything seems fine except when I try and logon to my WiFi connection.

    Every time I start up my laptop and try and logon to the WiFi I get the message "No internet available" or "Do not recognise Network".

    The only way that I can logon to the network is to use the Network and Sharing Centre troubleshooting facility, this then re-sets my Network adaptor and everything is fine until I re-boot my Pc and I get the same problem. I have successfully logged on using
    another Pc so I conclude that my router and modem are Ok.

    Does anyone have a solution ?

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks
