    Alright I wonder if this is indeed the problematic factor that degrades over time.
    As currently you have recently formatted your machine, let's see if you see any degradations now that you have Windows Updates installed (mentioned on the other forum post), and if it's correlated to this value.

    Two shots in the dark:

    1. Is Superfetch service enabled and running? If not, try setting it to AUTO, even if you have an SSD.
    2. Try clearing the windows/prefetch folder contents. You never know.

    Could it be due to usage of NVMe M.2 storage? perhaps this issue is not on SATA controllers?

    I use Samsung 960 NVMe M.2 storage on an Asus board, no issues.

    Thinking out loud, is this a firmware issue on drive ?

    I said on the older firmware that the drive came with. Not sure if the above issue has been fully resolved.
