Considering upgrading from 1080p to 1440p. Main use will be gaming. Games like COD, Rust, Siege, etc... Secondary for Movies and Youtube.
Looking for 27" only 32 is way too big for me. I hear IPS is superior to VA and TN but have no set preference. There's a lot of options to pick from just want to hear some of suggestions. Would like it to be 144hz but would be okay with a minimum of 120hz at least. Price would like to keep it under $600 but the cheaper honestly the better. Sorry for asking...

  2. Looking at 1440p suggestions

Hi all, I'm looking to upgrade my monitor and would like suggestions. My current screen is a Samsung PLS 60 Hz 24" monitor, I would like a 1440p screen with more then 60hz, around 24 - 27 inches, non TN Panel and no more then 5ms. My budget is around 200-450 CAN at most, I'm not expecting to cover all my needs in this range but 75hz freesync should be doable.

Any suggestions are welcomed and appreciated *Smile Looking to upgrade to 1440p from 1080p. Looking for Monitor recommendations. :)

    1440P or 4K

High on my wish list is the BenQ GW2765 HT which is 1440p and ips, the same size as my LG M2762D, a 1080p tv/monitor. I feel that the 4K monitors may suffer from text size problems in this size range as Bobkn has mentioned.

Looking for Advice on a Good PC Monitor

This is excellent! Thank you. I'm definitely going to be using it primarily for gaming, but I don't want a TN panel because my BenQ monitor that I'm currently have is TN (I think - It's a XL2420T), and the colours and angles are bad. I'm also in the same boat as you regarding refresh rate. I do see a difference between 60 and 120Hz, but it's also very noticable when games drop frames when 120Hz is enabled contra 60. It also makes my computer hot at 120 *Tongue So basically I want 60Hz IPS but also fast response time, is that possible? I will do 1440p on 27", but not 1080p on 27". Here I would go for 24" to avoide "pixel housing".

I was looking at the Benq EW2770 IPS 27" 1440p because of the eye-care, but now my concern is that what happens if I game at 1080p on a 1440p monitor, will I get black borders or bad scaling here?
