  1. Loosing Internet

My desktop shows that there is no internet. When checking the Ethernet and Wi-Fi adapters, they show that there is internet activity.
I have a router/modem from my supplier, Spectrum, and to get internet back to the desktop, I need to disconnect the router/modem for a short time and reconnect and all is good for several days.
Connected to the router/modem is another router which normally indicates modem connection whereas the Spectrum router/modem internet connections are not providing me internet service at the desktop, but my laptops that are on Wi-Fi. I find this to be strange since that second router is connected to the router/modem.
In addition, my HP wireless printer has been keeping its connection even though it is connected to the router/modem.
Question: What needs to be fixed or adjusted on the desktop which is the only unit that goes offline, periodically, yet their adapters indicated that service is live.
Or is nothing wrong and this is life with the internet?
Desktop is current with Windows 10 Pro. The desktop, router/modem, and the other modem are in the same room and within a six foot area. I get no messages when this happens other than there is no internet

    :)

An outdated network adapter can be one possible reason for this.
To isolate the issue, kindly provide us these details:

    • Have you made any changes on your computer prior to the issue?
