Windows 10: losing internet connection

I have rogers ignite 150bps internet and have the pod signal boosters. Booster is 10 ft away from my Asus laptop.

Running windows 10. Problem existed before upgrading my rogers service


Periodically, laptop shows no wireless connection. I first make sure WLAN is on. When I click on connection icon, it says wireless internet connection is turned off and it gives the option to turn on manually or with 1 or 2 hours.

I put it on manually connect. Go to control panel and select network connection. Both the wireless connector and LAN are turned off. I right click to connect without any result.

What usually works is restarting the computer and wireless connection is restored. Any suggestions??


My wireless internet connector is Atheros AR9485

LAN is Realtek Pcle GBE

Randomly losing internet connection on a wifi network

Is that ipv4 pool for DHCP? I usually set fixed IP addresses outside dynamic pool (so above .64 in your case)

Other solutions: like Superfly suggested, new wifi adapter (USB solutions in your case), and found one old HP thread... uninstalling HP hotkeys worked for someone - looks like app was messing with physical key...)
