    Loss of HDMI signal on a recent TV after the latest Windows updates.

    I have a recent LG TV (under warranty) connected by HDMI to a recent computer under Windows 10. For its graphics part, the PC has an Intel HD Graphics 500 GPU.
    For several months, the whole thing worked very well but since the last Windows updates, a PC restart causes a loss of HDMI signal. In general, disconnecting the HDMI cable and reconnecting it will restore the Windows screen.
    First I called on the TV's after-sales service, which even changed the TV's motherboard without solving the problem. After many discussions with LG specialists, this would be due to the latest Windows updates. They explained to me that Windows must produce an HDMI signal for a (recent) television set and not a signal for a monitor. On their advice, I tried to adjust the Windows settings by choosing TV instead of Monitor but this was not enough.
    I also checked if the video driver could be updated, of course, but I always automatically find "Generic Plug & Play monitor driver".
    Please provide me with a solution because PC restarts are very frequent after Windows updates and these updates seem to be the cause of the problem.

    Thanks.

    :)

    4K60 signal to TV over HDMI problem

    Hello!

    I'm trying to connect my new PC with a LG TV (49UF7077), but the TV keeps saying "no signal" no matter what I try. The TV sees that something is connected though. And the Geforce control panel quickly and correctly finds the TV and its native resolution and other options. Windows correctly allows extended desktop and other options. I'm using the latest Windows 10 Home and an EVGA GTX 1070 with the latest driver, and checked and controlled new HDMI cable.

    What I've tried:
    * restarting everything
    * resetting the TV
    * trying different HDMI ports (although this TV clearly has one certain one which is "the right one" in terms of color support)
    * disabling "hdmi ultra deep color" (something which the TV suggests as a fix)
    * outputting to TV only (I also have the regular monitor on the DVI port)
    * lower resolutions (as if the hardware wouldn't support 4K60)
    * connecting a low end Windows 10 laptop using the same cable - WORKS!
    * contacting LG support (they couldn't give a solution)

    Any ideas?

    Hdmi TV no signal

    Thank you for the update and sorry for the delayed response. To isolate the issue, try connecting the cable to other ports or use a different HDMI cable and see if it will work. If not, try following these steps to check output settings and see if it will
    resolve the issue:

    • On your desktop, right-click on a blank space and select Personalize.
    • Click System then select Display.
    • Check if you can see the TV as second monitor.
    • If not, click Windows key + P.
    • Select Duplicate.
    • If the duplicate option is not applicable, select Extend instead.
    • After that, repeat steps 1 to 3 again and see if the TV is now detected.

    Get back to us with so we can provide further assistance.

    PC to A/V Receiver to TV Signal Loss

    Hi all,

    I am experiencing a strange issue where my TV is losing signal after playing a game for a period of time. My primary display, a monitor, is not affected by this. My speakers also cut off when the TV loses signal. The TV is connected via HDMI. The TV appears in my list of displays as "Denon AVR"

    My TV is connected through a Denon AVR. I have used this setup for months without any issues, and this practically came out of nowhere. I ran variable tests where I tried to replicate the issue on other game consoles attached to my AVR, and it did not happen in those cases. I also tried multiple HDMI cables to see if it was a cable problem. No luck.

    Any idea what might be causing this issue?

    Thanks,
    FS
