    LOSS OF NORMAL WINDOW : PART 2


    This problem already reported & replied to by Eiji T on 23rd March.

    I do not get the normal Desktop screen afer shutdown. The Indepenen Advisor Eiji recommended me to get into SAFE MODE which I have done.

    As expected, by me, I still have original problem. He asked for photos/screen shots of problem.

    I have a screen shot on ONE DRIVE ????

    I also have it 'COPY/PASTE WORD.


    I had expected to be able to attach a file to send to you? Please let me know how to do that


    My desktop shows number of large rectangular icons: OFFICE ; small icons inside large; MAIL; STORE; EDGE ...

    windows xp installation and dual core am

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps:

    Step 1: Run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter
    and check.

    Hardware and Devices troubleshooter
    checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

    • Press Windows key from the keyboard, type
      Troubleshooting       and select it.
    • Click on view all option on the upper left corner of
      Troubleshooting window.
    • Select the Hardware and Device options from the list.
    • Click Next to run the Hardware and Device
      Troubleshooter.

    Step 2: I suggest you to try the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the below Microsoft article and check if it helps.

    Fix sound problems
