Windows 10: Lost Data in OneNote after Widnows Update

I lost some of my data from OneNote after the last update and can't retrieve it. Any ideas? Windows will not allow me to go back to a previous version.

Have you used the SkyDrive app to check for your data? I also thought I'd lost some notes. Turns out they were just in the cloud and not showing up in my OneNote list on the phone.

There are a lot of possible factors for this matter. To isolate the issue, I have a couple of questions for you:

  Were there any changes made before the issue occurred?

  What activity triggered the issue?

  Were there any error messages appear before your device went to repair mode?

  What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
  

I recommend that you perform a system restore and see if you can still recover the lost data. To perform a system
restore, follow these steps:

  Go to
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Change
  View to Small icons.
  
• 
  Choose
  Recovery.
  
• 
  Click on
  Open System Restore.
  
• 
  Choose the restore point to when the issue is not occurring.

LOST DATA ONENOTE

Hi there guys, i need some serious help to recover lost data from a onenote page.

The Onenote app in question is the basic version, not the Office 2016.

I was onsite today, approxiamtely a 3.5 hour drive and my bbatery went flat on my surface book. I connected the keyboard and windows went into a repair mode.

When i return home the computer restarted normally and when i launched the onenote app, right before my eyes i saw all the handwritten (stylus pen) data disappear.

Can anyone assist me on how to recover this data?

PS When i went to my onedrive account, it has only saved a blank doc as there was no internet connection until i turned the computer on when i got back home.
