Windows 10: Lost file.

Hello, recently I accidentally deleted my whole word document folder, and like an idiot I didn’t back it up. Don’t exactly know how I deleted it, but one moment is was just gone. I downloaded a recovery software. Can’t remember what it’s called. Got the whole folder back except the file that I really wanted. So I went though some steps and found a random word doc that might be it. It has an error when I opened it so I went and researched it and fixed it and it came up with some crazy random stuff (can supply photo if needed). I found the file I was looking for in the software, but it was in an unsupported file format for some reason. It was like it has been erased from existence. Please help. I spent ages on it and it is like twenty or thirty pages. Thanks

Files lost after Automatic Repair

windows 10 deleted my desktop files

Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

copied all files again to desktop.

Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

• Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
• Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
• Click on Users, select your User name
• Go to desktop folder

Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.
