• Did you make any hardware changes on your computer before this issue happened?
• Have you checked if the DVD Drive is showing up in Device Manager?

backup protected dvds

I want to create backup copies of my favorite DVD collections and I tried Nero but it said that the DVDs are protected. I tried looking for another software and I found this list of DVD copy software that claimed to be the best for copying protected DVDs. I need a feedback from someone who has tried using any of these software before I'll buy one. I just want to make sure so I can burn my DVDs and not my money. If you have any other suggestions or recommendations I would really appreciate it.

We’d like get more information regarding this issue.

1. Since when you are facing the issue?
   
2. Do you face the issue with only particular DVD?
   
3. Have you tried playing different DVD Disc?
   

We’d suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below to update drivers.

1. Open Device Manager by searching for it in search bar.
   
2. Look for DVD/CD-ROM drivers and expand it by clicking on the arrow next to it.
   
3. Right click on the driver under DVD/CD-ROM drivers and click on
   Update driver.
   
4. Now select Search automatically for updated driver software.
   
5. Once the process completed, restart the computer and check if it works.
